Good bang for the buck compromise.11/5/2017 6:49:41 AM
Pros: - Though not as fast as other NVMe, it's still faster than Sata SSDs.
- Inexpensive.
- On a equal budget, this one affords more GBs per dollar.
- Dramatically cuts load times, eliminates data transfer bottlenecks.
- No wires, no mess.
- Use of default MS driver, instead of a power glutton driver like the 'fast guy' makes it lighter on system resources.

Cons: Win 10 required for ease of use.
M.2 NVMe is not natively supported by Win7, but it can be made to work very well, you just need to go through a little work.

Other Thoughts: Don't expect a downloadable driver from Intel, it's not happening. It must be acquired via an E-mail request to MS, which then sends you a download link. It comes as a Hotfix, the first is KB2990941 which contains the driver, and KB3087873, which fixes a possible crashing problem incurred by the first hotfix. Using these, I've finally been able to get my disk to be seen in windows.
To use as a boot device use Ghost or Acronis to make a backup of you system disk, with a Windows patched with afore mentioned hotfixes and then paste (restore) it to your NVMe, change boot device in your board's UEFI and your done.

Pros: Is it the fastest NVME SSD on the market? No. Does it boot faster than all regular SSDs? Yes it does. For that, I am happy with it. Also got it at a great price.
Cons: Why oh WHY did they go with a green PCB and not black or grey? WHY?!
Other Thoughts: If you are just gaming and not needing the FASTEST NVME SSD on the market, get this and be happy with how fast your computer boots.

Solid midrange NVME drive from Intel10/10/2017 3:56:15 PM
Pros: This SSD is FAST. It' s="" not="" quite="" as="" fast="" as="" the="" samsung="" evo="" or="" pro,="" but="" it's="" no="" slouch="" and="" is="" priced="" right.="" intel="" reliability.="">![Download Download](/uploads/1/3/3/9/133906757/153477965.jpg)
Cons: Green PCB. It has a certain 'retro' feel to it as nearly all of Intel's desktop boards were the same green. If you're into color matching your build keep this in mind.
Other Thoughts: Even though the Intel 600p drive isn't quite as fast as a Samsung EVO or PRO, it's still an awesome SSD. The average person would be hard pressed to see the difference in their daily workflow unless they are benchmarking them. The 600p is a very solid choice from a trusted brand.
Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: Love it. I'm using it with my OS and it gets me to the login in about half a minute.

Cons: Just putting in the NVMe into the Mobo is a pain, but that's a minor issue.
Other Thoughts: Worth the money!

Intel 600 256gb Nvme M2 Storage Controller Driver Windows 7
Very very weird. So I have a HP pavilion Gaming 15. I bought a Intel 600P 256GB m.2 ssd. It works great and shows up in windows and I even have windows 10 on the ssd and it's all fine. But it does not show up in bios at all. And the bios on the computer is garbage. So when I boot it up it shows a blue screen which I will try to include in this post. But if I use the boot menu and boot from the hard drive it boots and works just fine. (The HDD is formatted so its obviously booting from the ssd) I just don't understand what's going on.
